Robert Rafton is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal and the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. He has worked in the film industry (the one where things move) as a production manager, assistant director and producer.

His first interest in photography (the still kind) came when, at less than ten years' of age, he dismantled and destroyed his family's Voigtlander camera.

He is currently based in Toronto and sometimes Los Angeles.
